Bob grew up in the 1960’s watching rockets blast off to the moon and Wile E. Coyote chasing the Roadrunner on his rocket/jet powered machines on TV. At his home in Phoenix, Oregon, jet fighters flew over daily during the Vietnam war. Bob became fascinated with thrust powered machines, and at age 10, began building rocket powered balsa wood airplanes powered with Jetex rocket motors.
Between 1980 and 1990, Bob worked as a woodworker and a fine artist
Bob’s life changed forever when on Feb. 23rd. 1991, He made his first of over 2000 skydives. During a freefall speed competition, Bob thought to himself “I need a jetpack to keep up with Brian Fairhurst, the NW champion”.
Upon landing his parachute, he recalled at age 17 seeing a schematic of a pulsejet powered German V-1 buzz bomb. (The first operational cruise missle). From that moment on, Bob became focused on building pulsejet engines.Bob’s first successful pulsejet is pictured below.
After endless hours of research & development, Bob has emerged as the world’s top designer.
Using his artistic background, he creates some of the world’s most outrageous jet powered machines.
